November, 2007: Canadian Pets and Animals Magazine features Dax and Don Maskell on the cover of The Royal Issue.
November, 2007: Thinline is providing Dax and his horses with there product sponsorship. He has noticed a significant diffrece in his comfort in the saddle and the performance of his horses.
October 31st, 2007: Dax appears on Global News with Susan Hay.
He was helping C.A.R.D show how they are "making a difference" to those with disabilities in the community through therapeutic riding.
October, 2007: Dax is very exited about his new partnership with Omega Alpha and Back on Track and pleased to have the benifit of there exellent products.
September 20th, 2007: Dax attends CARD's "A Magical Moment in Time" at The tournament of Champions.
This Luncheon was the 4th anual benifit for CARD. Dax was one of the guest speakers along side Jim Elder.
August 26th, 2007: Rachel McDonough's Irish Rhythm were once again on the scene at The Royal Canadian Riding Academy with Dax for a Demonstration in support of Windreach Farm and its founder Paralympian Sandy Michell.
This demonstration took place during The Festival of the Horse. Thanks to RCRA for there hospitality and the McDonough family for there support.
August 19th, 2007: Dax and Rachel McDonough's Irish Rhythm take part in a demonstration in support of OnTRA.
The duo performed a freestyle to music and showcased a variety of lateral work in front of a packed crowed in the horse palace.
August 18th, 2007: Jill Shainhouse and Rachel McDonough compete at Caledon Carora's Trillum show.
They both had a very successful day competing at First Level. Jill and Copper Rose came home with a 5th place ribbon in the Adult Amateur division and Rachel McDonough and her horse Irish Rhythm received 2nd and 3rd place ribbons in the JR/YR division. Congratulations to you both for such a great Results!
August 11th, 2007: Dax and Rhythm of the Night take part in the OnTRA Provincial Championships.
They received a score of 67% from Anita Owen an International judge from the USA. After a great day of competition had by all Dax came home with The Captain De Demeter award for the high score of the day. This is the second year in a row he has been honerd with this award. The next day they took part in a clinic with Anita Owen. Her very progressive approach worked very well and she was extremely complimentary to both horse and rider.
Dax would like to thank Abbey Simbrow and CARD for there support and for allowing his horse to be transported along with there horses.
July 16th, 2007: The Canadian team ship to Hartpury in an eight horse van.
Dax competed as an individual for Canada which was fortunate as the night prior to the team test Donnie scratched his eyes and was unable to compete in the team test. With the appropriate veterinary care, Donnie was declared comfortable and eligible to competed in the Individual Test. The pair achieved a score of 62.9%. With this he achieved his Certificate of Capability with the FEI and can now qualify within the Canadian criteria for Beijing 2008.
Hartpury College boasts a world class facility that despite extreme weather was able to deliver a truly incredible FEI World Para Dressage Championships over a remarkable five days.
Dax would like to thank Paralympian Sandy Mitchell and his wife Sally for their continuous support without them being a part of this experience, it would not have been possible. Congratulations to all fellow Canadians who all achived excellent results. A special thanks to chef d'equipe Elizabeth Robinson for all of her organization and positive support throughout their journey. A BIG thanks to Donnie's trusty groom Breanne Willoughby-Brown she did a great job and Dax had lots of fun times with her. He wishes her success in continuing her studies at Hartpury College.
July 2nd, 2007: Dax leaves for the World Chapionships held in at Hartpury College in the heart of Gloucestershire from July 18th-22nd, 2007.
His first stop will be East Soley Equestrian Centre where he will meet his groom Breanne Willoughby-Brown who flew with the two horses from Canada. He will be training there on his own until the training camp begins with team coach Andrea Taylor which takes place from July 12th-15th.
June 2007: Dax and Donnie officially Qualify to represent Canada at the upcomming World Champioships in Hartpury England!
Dax competed at The Paralymics Ontario Provincial Championships held at Fiddick's Stables located in Sarnia. This was the first year Para Equestrian has been a part of these wonderful games. This was a well orginazed event with great sponsors. An amazing time had by all.
Dax rode a Quarter Horse gelding named Gus generously loaned to him for the event by his owner Marci Brown. With only one training session on Gus they achieve a score of above 60% and bring home the GOLD medal. Dax would like to thank Paralymics Ontario for incorporating Equestrian into the championships and he looks forward to taking part again next year.
May 15th, 2007: Dax competes at Paxton Farm near Cincinnati Ohio.
This lovely Facility had amazing outdoor stabling and great footing in all of the rings. It was a busy weekend with both the Pan American and American Para Championships happening along with the national show. Dax competed in the Para Open classes which were a part of the national show were he achieved his final qualifying score of 65%. The Freesyle began at 6:45pm during the competitors party and dinner, this created a very electric atmosphere. Donnie held it together even though he was quite nervous they received 58% and placed 4th. This was Donnie first outdoor show and Dax felt he did very well under the circumstances.
March 31st, 2007: Dax's Show season begins with a bang!
He and his new partnership Don Maskell competed at a National indoor show held at Windreach farm.They received scores of 70% and 65% in their individual tests and 68% and 77% in the Freestlyle to music. A big thanks to the show organizers! this was an excellent start towards qualifying for the World Championships.

December 1st, 2006: Dax would like to extend his thanks and gratitude to Sandy and Sally Mitchell owners of his newly acquired horse Don Maskell. He is a 7 Year old Black Hanoverian Gelding By Donnerhall out of Whitney.
November 11th, 2006: Dax Partners with Roots Equestrian and takes part in an autograph signing at The Royal Winter Fair.
He would like to show his appreciation to the people of Roots Equestrian for support of not only himself but the equestrian disapline as a whole. Dax looks forward to a continued relationship.
November 9th, 2006: Dax joins fellow Paralympian Sandy Mitchell to celebrate Wind Reach Farm's 7th year of service.
The lovely occasion was held in the President's room at The Royal Winter Fair and was graciously sponsored by Mr and Mrs Mitchell. A wonderful time was had by all and may Wind Reach Farm continue to assist those with special needs for Years to come.

August 20th, 2006: Jill Shainhouse and Steve Sampson compete at the Caledon Trillium Show held at the Orangevile Fairgrounds.
In Jill's first ever dressage show she competed at the trillium level riding her new mount, the seasoned veteran, Copper Rose. They rode Training Level tests 3 and 4, receiving over 60% and placing 5th and 7th in quite a large classes.
Steve rode his partner of just under a year Rhythm of the Night. They decided to compete in the primary division as it was both horse and riders first time out. This pair performed extremely well placing 3rd and 6th at Training Level.
Congratulations to them both and we wish you even greater success in the future.

July 29th, 2006: Dax competed at 2006 OnTRA Dressage Championship held at the beautiful WindReach Farm.
Dax and Copper Rose were winners of the Grade 2 advanced division. They also received high score of the day and were awarded the Captain De Demeter award. Dax Rode a second individual test on a horse that was generously loaned by Robin Berkimshire, named Guaranteed Bay. He is a stunning Arabian gelding with many years of excellent training under his belt. Many thanks to the boomer team!
July 2, 2006: Leslie Milne and her 4 year old mare Maeve take part in a show at Blue Star Farm.
The pair competed in there first ever show away from home. They rode two tests in the walk trot division. In the first test, nerves of a young horse were evident as they received a score of 33.4%. In the second test they made some great improvements and they received a score of 55.3%, placing just out of the ribbons in 7th place. It will be exiting to see there progress in the future.

June 2-4, 2006: Dax and Copper Rose compete at the beautiful Caledon Equestrian Park.
The national circuit kicked off in Ontario with Spring into Dressage. The pair competed at First Level finishing in 7th and 8th place which put him in the top half of the class with a field of over 15 competitiors.
Despite sloppy footing due to rain, Dax was pleased with thier results.
Saturday evening, Dax also took time to DJ for The Junior and Young Riders Dinner and Dance.
This event took place to raise funds towards sending these teams to NAYRC later this summer.
